Ever needed some light but you were too far away and didn’t have the clapper installed? What if you could just call the lamp over like your pet dog. For his graduation project at Design Academy Eindhoven, Bob de Graaf is exploring ideas such as this. Inspired by the movie Wall-E and an experiment at a park in Eindhoven, Bob has begun creating lamps that respond to humans and light much like organisms would.
Thoughts on Remaking The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I saw the original Swedish version of The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo a couple of months ago and really liked it. It’s a dark movie but it was strong in story and characters. The intro to the 2011 version is fantastic.
The new one came out and I recently went to see it with a friend.
Why Has NASA Not Gone to Mars with Humans Already?
- The tech to keep people alive BOTH ways is still being developed. Some problems are similar to ones we’ve solved when sending folks to the Moon but MANY are different.
- It’s crazy expensive to solve these problems and it takes time. You can’t throw twice as much money at some of these problems and expect them to be solved in half the time.
