The Toys of Tomorrow
I love toys. Fews things make me as happy as wandering through aisles of toy stores on the hunt for the future. I work on visualization systems at work and toys are a way for me to see what kids are acclimating to. I’ve recently been on the lookout for toys that integrate with phones. I have a suspicion that phones will become the platform to holodeck type experiences in the near future. I want to share two devices I’ve recently discovered, the Apptoyz appBlaster and the Hasbro my3D.

I grew up during the 1980’s and distinctly remember being horrified by a movie shown on local DC television. The film received high press coverage in the weeks before broadcast, it was in 3D and required the purchase of anaglyph red/blue glasses.

Is Bot & Dolly’s “Box” the Future of Interactive Live Performances?
We’ve previously talked about Bot & Dolly using articulated robots to transform the job of the camera operator. We’ve also discussed the shots Bot & Dolly robots helped create for the movie Gravity.
