Twerking Fail Video Revealed to be Jimmy Kimmel Internet Hoax Starring Stunt Woman Daphne Avalon

Twerking fail video “star” Caitlin Heller has been revealed to be stunt woman Daphne Avalon. The now-infamous clip of a young woman accidentally setting herself on fire was produced by the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show.

Host Jimmy Kimmel explained that the clip was filmed months ago and sat undisturbed until it was organically picked up by the internet audience and news outlets and quickly went viral. We will all be second-guessing every video we see on YouTube and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Storytelling can be used for good and evil, in this case Jimmy simply pranked the internet and taught us a valuable lesson about doing our homework about the media we share with one another. Hopefully this prank will help educate a wide audience on the powerful nature of viral media.
