This was an unexpected find on SpaceNews.com today. I took the photo above of Elon Musk while I was working as the digital strategist and community manager for the Review of U.S. Human Space Flight Plans Committee. The “Augustine Committee” lasted through the summer of 2009 and this photo was taken at a public meeting held to discuss the future of human spaceflight in the United States. Elon Musk’s SpaceX presentation occurs about 30 minutes into this video:

DCist has a writeup on the newly announced DC summer drive-in movies at Union Market. Looks like there are plans to use the large white wall of the market to show movies! I’ll be walking over to catch these films. If you intend to drive there are extra spots available even though car spot reservations are all booked up.

Bela Borsodi’s VLP – Terrain Album Cover is One Single Photograph
Look at the photo above, examine it. The photo above is a single image. Without the use of Photoshop or any post processing technique, New York based photographer Bela Borsodi created this image for the cover of the VLP-Terrain album. Bordsodi’s pieces are clever and full of visual puns. In that same vein, the VLP – Terrain cover is one single image, not four. Mild brain hemorrhaging may occur when trying to decipher how it was done.
