NASA and Star Wars at SpaceUp Houston
I’ve experienced few things as cool as when these pictures were taken.
The 501st Legion, a worldwide Star Wars costuming group, showed up to SpaceUp Houston and climbed on NASA’s Space Exploration Vehicle. I was amazed at the audience reaction, they commented on the similarities between NASA and Star Wars spacesuits and couldn’t stop talking about “what if” scenarios. Our relationship with space is often one with science fiction and film. In Houston, for a moment, fiction became reality and the possibilities became endless.
