I came across this clip of Back to the Future Part III— and now I can not unsee it. From the title of the video, I had expected an idiot savant pointing to something that would be a clever self referential device, much like the Twin Pines Mall reference. Instead, it was a dose of Back to the Future WTF. Nevermind all the Oedipal overtones of nearly hooking up with your mother in the past; this one takes the cake. If you watch the clip again, Verne’s expression when we’re first introduced to him has a thick palpable nefarious layer of in-the-future-I’m-a-gonna-go-back-to-the-past-and-do-terrible-things-to-you, irrespective of his age.

Mars Curiosity Descent – Ultra HD 30fps Smooth
On August 6th we landed Curiosity on the planet Mars. The footage that came from that descent was amazing, but left me wanting more. I wanted higher res, smooth and a decent framerate. I wanted to feel like I was making that landing.
So did Bard Canning. Apparently so much so, that he re-constructed the descent video…
